Members of the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacology and Toxicology at the very beginning did not have their own association. Namely, they were, from 1951. to 1978. members of the Serbian Society of Physiologists (DFS), as well as sections of the Alliance of Societies of Physiologists of Yugoslavia - SDFJ (former Yugoslav Physiological association, the Yugoslav society Physiologus - JDF). Since 1978, members of our Institute of Pharmacology become members of the Association of Pharmacologists of Serbia, as well as a section of Alliance of Societies of Physiologists of Yugoslavia. At the time of formation the first president was Profor. Varagić, and then, following prof. Bogdan Boskovic (MMA), prof. Milovan Krstić. Under the leadership of prof. Krstic, otherwise a very successful researcher, the Society has remained together during the nineties and continued fruitful scientific activity, international cooperation, and reorganization (the establishment of the Section on Clinical Pharmacology).
